The format PREMIUM Berlin, which has been an outstanding success story in the fashion and lifestyle industry for many years, will not take place in January 2024. Despite its past success as a benchmark, the critical developments in the industry and the changed global economic situation are now presenting big trade fair formats with a new dimension of challenges.
PREMIUM, which started as an underdog in 2003 and established an entire segment in the industry, has developed into an icon. The original concepts and approaches were groundbreaking and have shaped the fashion world. However, as is so often the case in the fastmoving fashion industry, even outstanding success stories require re-evaluation.
While the decision has been made to cancel PREMIUM Berlin in January 2024, PREMIUM Berlin remains an integral part of the industry's narrative, and the management and the PREMIUM team express gratitude to all exhibitors, visitors, partners, and colleagues for their continuous support and trust to date.
Anita Tillmann reflects on the journey, stating, "Over the past 21 years, PREMIUM has achieved a great deal, has been the stage for numerous success stories, and united the world in Berlin. Our decision to cancel the January 2024 event is a strategic response to the challenges presented by the industry's current dynamics.".
The management team led by Anita Tillmann and Jörg Arntz have recognised these changes and also paved the way for SEEK, which was launched in 2009. SEEK, which has focussed on its core segment in recent years and serves the streetwear segment, will continue its mission with its loyal network.
